Junior Ranger Day 2026
Junior Rangers of all ages are welcome to celebrate Junior Ranger Day at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park!
Come to the Moore House lawn (5th Avenue and Spring Street) between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to
- Watch a performance by the Chilkat Dancers of Klukwan and Haines at 11 a.m.
- Watch a performance by Andrew Nadon at 12 p.m.
- Meet live raptors with the American Bald Eagle Foundation
- Meet park staff and learn about different roles rangers fill
- Try on historical costumes, make ice cream, navigate an obstacle course, and try out other activities guided by Skagway community organizations
- Meet Nuggets the Bear
- and join in a group Junior Ranger swearing-in ceremony 1:45 - 2:00 p.m.
Stop by the Visitor Center for a detailed schedule. All events are free and open to the public.
** Even if you can't join us for Junior Ranger Day this year, you're still welcome to be a Klondike Gold Rush Junior Ranger! Pick up an activity book at the Visitor Center.
