Description
A traditional Independence Day celebration, marking the 243rd anniversary of the nation's fouinding, with speeches, music, refreshments, reading of the text of the Declaration of Independence and tolling, 13 times, of the historic St. Paul's bell. Tours of the historic church and burial yard will follow the podium program, and there will a special 2:30 PM performance and sing-along of Songs of the American Revolution. Keynote speaker will be Professor Laura Chmielewski of SUNY Purchase, author of many books on early American history.
