Battle Anniversary Programs

Special Event
Commemorate the 157th anniversary of the Battle that Saved Washington! Special events are scheduled throughout the day and the park. ASL interpreter available at the visitor center.
- Civil War period style music under the tent at visitor center– 10:30 am, 12:30pm, and 2:30 pm
- Artillery demonstration at visitor center – 11 am, 1pm, and 3pm
- Ranger program at visitor center – 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm
- Union and Confederate infantry living historians, rangers, and volunteers will be posted the Best, Worthington, Thomas, and Gambrill farms to tell visitors about the military action, civilian experience, and historic homes. 10 am – 3 pm.
