Join us in celebrating the timeless bond between humans and dogs. Dogs have played significant roles throughout the history of Fort Vancouver, serving not only as companions but also as working animals for settlers, fur traders, and indigenous peoples. In this our Bicentennial year, we are establishing on May 17 our Bark Ranger Program. Visit the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center to pick up your map and participate in an exciting, on your own, self-guided activity that explores Fort Vancouver’s canine history. This official Bark Ranger program honors the legacy of dogs at Fort Vancouver and celebrates the longstanding bond between humans and their best friend.  The Visitor Center bookstore will be selling Bark Ranger tags for our amazing canine Bark Rangers!
