Description

Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument and Manzano Mountains State Park are partnering to offer a fabulous astronomy evening in the beautiful Manzano Mountains!  Salinas Park Guide Bethany Burnett will be giving an evening program entitled, "Astronomy in Your Backyard" beginning at 7:30pm.  As it gets dark, she will set up Salinas' 8" Dobsonian telescope so you can view some beautiful deep sky objects.  You won't want to miss this amazing event!

The event will be held at the Group Campsite in the Manzano Mountains State Park Campground during the Delta Aquariids meteor shower.  The best viewing for meteor showers is typically in the predawn hours, so consider reserving a campsite for meteor shower viewing.
