From its establishment in 1834, Fort Laramie has been viewed as an "Embassy on the Plains." The Fort played host to some of the largest and most important gatherings of indigenous peoples from the Northern Plains. Learn about this long history of diplomacy and of the all too often broken treaties and broken promises that resulted. Commissary Bleachers, 30 minutes.
