Try weaving and engineering at the Boott Cotton Mills!

Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center are excited to offer hands-on workshops for everyone to come and experience history by doing! Drop by our educational workshop spaces to discover the Industrial Revolution and its legacies. Weave on a four-harness loom or try your hand at an engineering challenge.
This is a free event and all are welcome. Drop in any time from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This event is part of the 2024 Lowell City of Learning Festival.

Location

This even will take place on the 3rd floor of the Boott Cotton Mills Museum. Free parking for Lowell NHP and TIHC visitors is available at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District (HCID) parking garage at 350A Dutton Street. It is a 15-minute walk to the Boott Cotton Mills from the HCID garage. Parking in this garage is available to National Park visitors at no cost provided they obtain a valid parking voucher at the Visitor Center (246 Market Street) or Boott Cotton Mills Museum (115 John St.). Paid parking available at the Downes Parking Garage (75 John Street) across the street from the Boott Cotton Mills Museum for posted rates.
