Join Great Falls Park and the George Washington Memorial Parkway to celebrate Juneteenth with an outdoor movie showing of Summer of Soul. Summer of Soul is a a powerful 2021 documentary that is part music film, part historical record created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion known as the Summer of Soul.  This movie shines a light on the importance of history to our spiritual well-being and stands as a testament to the healing power of music during times of unrest, both past and present.

Lawn seating in the lower picnic area: bring blankets or chairs, flashlight, insect repellent, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks.  All ages welcome.  Trails and overlooks closed at dark.  Event will be cancelled if it rains.  Updates will be posted on the website.
