Special Event
A ranger-led walk from the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House NHS (1318 Vermont Avenue, NW) to the Carter G. Woodson Home NHS (20 min, approx. half-mile). Visitors will be walking in the footsteps of Dr. Carter G. Woodson and Mary McLeod Bethune as we trace the history of the Shaw and Logan Circle Neighborhoods, civil rights legends, and the Civil War.
