On June 28, 1776, the Patriots of Charleston successfully defended the city and its people against the British Royal Navy. Occuring just one week before the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Battle of Sullivan's Island gave a surge of confidence to those paving the path towards the foundation of United States as a new nation.

Join us on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, 2022 to enjoy living history demonstrations
at Fort Moultrie for the 246th Anniversary of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island.
Entrance fees are suspended for Saturday, June 25.
