Ridgefield storyteller and women’s studies scholar Dr. Darla Shaw will take on the role of Suffragette, Alice Paul, who lived less than a mile away from Weir Farm on Branchville Road during the same time period as Dorothy Weir Young. The program will focus on common elements in the background of these two activists and how their belief in the power of women and their love of the natural surroundings and farm lands became a passion for both women.
