Learn about local national park sites during our 2020 Travelogue lecture series.

During a Travelogue, a visiting park ranger will share stories about their park and provide you with information to plan your own visit. All programs are free and begin at 6:30 p.m. Hosted at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center, 246 Market Street, Lowell, MA.

On Tuesday, January 14, join a ranger from the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site for "Fairsted Comes to Lowell: How the Olmsteds Brought Parks to the Mill City." This presentation will show the connections between the "foremost parkmaker" in the United States, Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903) and Lowell, the "Mill City." For many years, Olmsted made his home in Brookline, Mass. Today, Olmsted's house is managed by the National Park Service, and is open to the public. Learn about Olmsted's ties to Lowell, Mass. and how you can explore his legacies and lanscapes.
