UPDATE: The weather will perfect for picnics and music, but rain is forecast to start moving in around 9pm. That's not great for telescopes or stargazing. Because of that, the star party portion of the evening is, unfortunately, canceled. Please join us 5-8pm and enjoy a picnic along the river, and check back for future stargazing opportunities in the park!

Everyone had such a great time at Park After Dark in March, that we are having another one! And we are throwing in a stellar addition this time!

On Saturday, April 22, from 5-8 pm, bring your picnic basket out to the LBJ Ranch and relax along the Pedernales River next to the Texas White House, the historic home of President Lyndon B. Johnson and family. Enjoy the scenery and lawn games all set to music by Cody Freeman.

But why should the party stop at dusk?!

At 8:00 pm, folks will leave the river bank and take an easy stroll up to the LBJ Ranch airstrip. The Hill Country Astronomers (HCA) will set up telescopes and offer a stargazing experience from 8:30 - 10:30 pm. Visitors can view stars, globular star clusters, and even distant galaxies. On a clear evening the views are out of this world!

Join us for either part of the evening or both!
