Description
October is National Art and Humanities Month, which is a collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. October also happens to be Alfred Waud’s birth month, one of the greatest sketch artists of the Civil War.
Join us to learn about Alfred Waud and his travels with the Army of the Potomac, have an opportunity to sketch postcards recording your time at Petersburg National Battlefield.
Still life sketching stations will be set up and all materials will be provided.
This a drop-in program (stop #3 on the park tour road) artist can come and go anytime between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
