Join journalist and author Burnis R. Morris as he discusses the evolution of Negro History Week to Black History Month and how Dr. Carter G. Woodson used the press to promote the contributions of African Americans as part of the mainstream historical narrative of America. Before the program, visitors can enjoy a mini piano concert featuring selections of the time period by DC Strings Workshop.
