Free. Event is free, ferry tickets to Deer Island are $3 for kids 4-11, $5 for 12 and over, and $12 for groups of four. You may also choose to arrive for free by on your own by foot, car, or public transportation.Location: LAT/LONG: 42.349696, -70.956359

Join us for a day of fishing and fun at Deer Island!
Come to Deer Island for a day of fishing, food, and fun!
- Learn how to fish for and identify striped bass and winter flounder with the Massachusetts Division of Marine FisheriesDivision of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife), and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Rods and other supplies will be provided!
- Meet National Park Service Rangers and be sworn in as an *official* Boston Harbor Islands Junior Ranger
- Play games, color, and learn “what not to flush” from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA)
- Learn about Boston Harbor’s biodiversity and meet *real crabs* with Save the Harbor/Save the Bay
- Learn from a professional chef how to prepare fresh fish during a live cooking demonstration
- Bring your own picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy with a view!
- Explore the trails of Deer Island on your own
- Discover other exciting Boston Harbor Islands events coming this season!
