The activities will take place in the education classroom, which is under the mezzanine in the visitor center. Visitors should enter through the west main entrance, go through the security checkpoint, and enter the glass-walled classroom at the bottom of the stairs, behind the Explore St. Louis booth. Interactive ranger program 6:45-7:45, telescope viewing 8-10 (weather permitting).
Description
At 6:45, kids 5-12 can build and bring home their own working Galileoscope, which is based on the principles of the one built by the famous astronomer. They can also earn a special Junior Ranger Night Explorer patch. This will take place in the education classroom in the Gateway Arch National Park visitor center. From 8-10 pm, free telescope viewing will be available outside the west main entrance (weather permitting).
