Description

History at Sunset returns to the Civil War Defenses of Washington (CWDW)!
 
The programs will be on select Friday evenings and focus on rarely told stories of Civil War Washington. The programs which will run approximately ninety minutes and are free to the public.
The first program will explore the fate of the capital forts after the guns fell silent in 1865 with a specific focus on the memorialization and preservation of Fort Stevens in the decades after the Civil War.
 
Join National Park Service Ranger Steve T. Phan at Fort Stevens Park on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
