Description
Join Rangers at Castle Clinton for a special tour of America’s first immigrant processing center, a role served by this storied building at the southern tip of Manhattan from 1855-1890. Using long-forgotten images and stories from the building’s history, National Park Service Rangers will bring the facility back to life and explore how the experiences of immigrants in the 19th century continue to shape our perception of immigration issues today. The program will be one hour long and is free and open to the public.
