Description
A ceremony commemorating the 158th anniversary of the Battle of Wilson's Creek will be held from 10-11:15 a.m. at the Visitor Center. The guest speaker will be Ken McClure, the mayor of Springfield, Missouri. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony, courtesy of the Wilson’s Creek NB Foundation.
The historic Ray House will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., where a period blacksmith and broom maker will be doing demonstrations all day. Missouri State Guard infantry & Federal artillery demonstrations will be held at Stop 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning at the top of every hour.
Entrance fees are waived on August 10, 2019.
