Description
Please make plans to view the wonders of the night sky at the Waco Mammoth National monument on Saturday May 21, 2022. Beginning at 7:00 pm at the monument the National Park Service will hose a program highlighting the marvels of the night sky and the importance of preserving dark skies. The program will be hosted by retired Park Ranger Larry Smith, and known dark sky expert from central Texas. Visitors can view stars, planets, and much more. Even if you have visited Waco Mammoth during the day, you'll see it in a whole new way! What will you see after the sun sets? Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Flashlights are recommended; lights with a red filter are preferable.
