Join us for a History at Sunset guided walk on Saturday, October 1, at 6:00 pm. Please note the new time due to the time of sunset.

History at Sunset programs are led by park rangers and focus on lesser-known stories and historical perspectives connected with sites throughout the park. Check out all the programs for Summer 2022.

This week's program-

Trailblazers of Chatham: Women Who Made History

Chatham has stood for over 200 years, a silent witness to American history. In that time, trailblazing women lived and worked here, fighting for freedom and breaking barriers. The program will highlight and lift up these stories as integral parts of Chatham's history.

Meet at the parking area at Chatham at the end of Chatham Lane. The program will include about 1/2 mile of walking around the gardens and grounds of Chatham. Participants should bring bug spray and water and wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.

In the event of inclement weather, check the park Facebook page for cancellations or updates. Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Military Park (facebook.com)
