Partner Program with Active Southern WV: 4-mile easy hike with a short moderate hill. Hike along mid-gorge bench level to the old coal mine site of Kaymoor, one of the longest running mines of the gorge. Structure remains and mine entrances reveal the history of the area’s rich, industrial boom times. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and long pants; bring water.
