Nature Rx: Forest Bathing
Register through Eventbrite
Have you heard of forest bathing or Shinrin Yoku? Curious to learn more? Nature Rx is excited to offer a forest bathing session, guided by Jessica Jurcak of DiscovHer Wellbeing, at the beautiful Oak Hill Trailhead in CVNP.
As a guided practice, forest bathing consists of a series of invitations that help you deeply engage with the natural spaces around you, leading to increased wellbeing physically, psychologically, spiritually, and socially. Join us for this experiential opportunity to reconnect with yourself and the environment in which we live.
- Forest bathing is not a hike or other form of intense physical activity. While we will walk a bit, we will travel less than 2 miles total, moving around slowly and stopping a significant amount.
- Forest bathing has no actual bathing involved. “Bathing” refers to the immersive experience of mindfully connecting the natural environment around you.
The practice will conclude with a tea ceremony with opportunity for reflection.
This program is part of the Nature Rx program. For more details on the program, please visit www.forcvnp.org/naturerx.
