Description
Please join us for a bird walk and talk at Georgetown Waterfront Park on July 11 at 8am with Dan Rauch, Fisheries and Wildlife Biologist for the Department of Energy and Environment for the District. We will take a look at one of the most popular residents, the purple martins, as they fledge young and prepare for migration. This is also an opportunity to see what other birds we can find, talk about wildlife and this section of the Potomac River and the benefits of the waterfront park for birds and other species.
This program is a collaboration between Rock Creek Park (NPS), the Friends of Georgetown Waterfront Park, and the DC Department of Energy and Environment.
