Description

Kenny Endo, founder of Taiko Center of the Pacific, is celebrating his 50th Anniversary of Taiko drumming through a series of concerts that will be held on August 9 and 10, with a tour following in the fall.

In a special gesture to Honouliuli National Historic Site, a taiko drum that was used at Honouliuli Internment Camp will be featured during his August 10th performance. This drum was played by Zenkyo Komagata of the Soto Mission of Hawaii during an obon ceremony at the camp and was donated to Nichiren Mission of Hawaii in 1921 by someone who remains unknown.

Tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime performance by one of the most famous taiko groups in America are for sale now on kennyendo50.com. Come to the August 10th performance to catch a glimpse of this rare artifact from Honouliuli!
