Description

Peter Harris Duo

Friday at 3:00 pm

At the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park

performance space in Dutch Alley

916 N Peters St, New Orleans, LA 70116

Peter Harris lays down deep jazz bass grooves with his own acclaimed ensembles and for a host of top-named talent – Germaine Bazzle, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Herlin Riley, Ellis Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Don Vappie, and Nicholas Payton. The New Orleans native has performed professionally for over a quarter century and today leads his top-shelf quartet in a series of sought-after residencies at some of the Crescent City’s finer jazz venues. He also teaches applied bass at his alma mater, the University of New Orleans, and is on faculty at the Don “Moose” Jamison School of Music.

This program is free and open to the public.
