Description
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will be hosting a trash bash clean up from 10 am to 2 pm. Visit the Dune Climb between 10 am and 2 pm to participate. Sign-in at the Mobile Visitor Center and pick up a garbage bag and gloves. Head out in the park to your favorite spots, collect trash, then return to the Mobile Visitor Center to sign out and get a fee-free day coupon to use on a later day.
National Public Lands Day was established in 1994, and is held annually on the 4th Saturday of September. This is the nation's single largest one day volunteer event for public lands. On this day each year thousands of volunteers will help to restore and improve public lands.
