Participants should meet at the Doc Howard parking area. The parking area is located off of Ridge Road on the Doc Howard Road before crossing Lilly Bridge. Participants should expect to spend 3 hours for the hike.

Description
Ranger-led Hike - Explore Stephen King Library and Solstice Cave.
Join our ranger on a hike to explore the South Clear Creek Gorge on Wednesday, September 22 at 10 a.m. ET. The hike will be a moderate to strenuous out-and-back hike of 3 miles total on the South Clear Creek trail.
Along the way, the trail will pass several high vantage points to view the gorge from above. The trail then descends below the rim into the gorge of Clear Creek with imposing walls and sounds of water rushing over the boulders that litter the river below. Hikers will encounter unique geologic areas such as the Solstice Cave, Stephen King Library, and the Great Roof.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing, wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks. For more information contact the visitor center.
