William Howard Taft's 166th Birthday Bash!

Come celebrate the 27th U.S. President and 10th Chief Justice of the United States with cake and dancing!

Forget-Me-Not, the Historical Dance Company has been entertaining and educating the public for over twenty-five years with its dances from America's past. From the early 19th century until the 1920s, these dances were the most popular and sought after whenever people gathered to have fun. Our Company researches, teaches and performs these dances with an eye to authenticity. Colorful costumes and lively music make our performances a delight. We especially enjoy sharing our love for these dances and the past by teaching whenever we can. For the William Howard Taft Birthday Celebration this year we are planning on showcasing dances to tunes popular at the time of his birth, in particular the dance music of Stephen Foster. In addition, we hope to teach a few dances to our audience; such popular social dances as The Spanish Dance and Patty Cake Polka.
