Description

On Saturday, July 22, Rocky Mountain National Park is hosting the event "Fly Fishing in the Rockies." Learn the basics of fly fishing!
 
Event participants will discover the best ways to read the water, develop knowledge of wildlife and fish, practice casting, and build community.
 
Meet park ranger and expert fishing guides at the Holzwarth Historic Site on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The fishing location will take place along the Colorado River, approximately 0.5 miles from the Holzwarth Historic Site Parking Area.
 
Visitors of all ages and abilities are welcome. This program is free, but park entrance fees and timed entry permit reservations do apply. Anyone 16 years or older must have a valid Colorado fishing license to fish inside Rocky Mountain National Park.
 

Reservation or Registration: Yes

A timed entry permit is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. If you enter the park before 9 a.m., a timed entry permit is not needed to attend this program.
