Music during the War of 1812 with the Richard Scott Quartet
Saturday at 2:00 pm
At the National Park Service French Quarter Visitor Center
419 Decatur St, New Orleans
Join us for this special presentation by the Richard Scott Quartet as part of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve’s commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. During the time of the War of 1812, music was used to celebrate great victories, rally troops to battle, and to criticize government leaders. Some songs were just great for dancing! Come explore the music of this fascinating era with Richard Piano Scott, along with Matt Rhody on violin, Ben Fox on Bass, and Michael Skinkus on percussion.
