Monarch/Dragonfly Migration

Join a National Park Service ranger for the annual hike to view the migration of the monarch butterflies. Be a citizen scientist and assist with documenting butterfly species. Inclement weather cancels the program. For reservations, call 718-354-4655.

Consistent with CDC guidance, visitors to Gateway National Recreation Area are required to wear a mask indoors and in crowded outdoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status or community transmission levels.
