Wanna know more about the trial?

Babe Beard thought he had done his best to help one of his wife’s orphaned nephews, but the young man in his care felt he had suffered abuse in his uncle’s home. Beard’s nephew complained to his brothers and soon all three of the orphaned siblings vowed to help their brother break free of his uncle, and to make sure the cow given to the young man by their father went with him when he left.

The long-running argument about the cow came to an end the day the Jones boys showed up at Beard’s house to claim the animal. Beard insisted the cow was taken as payment for the care he gave the Jones orphan during the years he spent in his home, and he would not release it. Words were exchanged and, in a flash of anger, Beard struck Will Jones in the head with his gun, killing him.

Beard said he was defending himself from three men, and that Will came armed and ready to fight. Others claim only words were exchanged between Beard and Jones and the man had no reason to strike such a vicious blow. How will you view the event after hearing the testimony of witnesses, and will Judge Parker’s instructions to the jury effect your judgement? You be the jury!
