In celebration of Women's History Month, join Ranger John Fowler and author, Katie McCabe as they discuss her book, “Mighty Justice: My Life in Civil Rights” which highlights the life and work of Dovey Johnson Roundtree. This previously recorded book talk explores Roundree’s work as a World War II veteran, as a civil rights attorney, and minister. Roundtree was selected by Mary McLeod Bethune to integrate the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, she worked closely with Dorothy I. Height and served as NCNW's attorney. Roundtree’s WAC uniform is part of the NPS’s collection in the National Archives for Black Women's History.
