An event celebrating the dedication and unveiling of a two-mile segment of Hwy 198 adjacent to Sequoia National Park in honor of Colonel Charles Young.

Guest speakers include Sequoia and Kings Canyon Superintendent Woody Smeck, Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument Superintendent Joy Kinard, Ranger Shelton Johnson, Relatives of Colonel Charles Young, and more. Interactive booths and Buffalo Soldier reenactments!

This is a free family friendly public event. This is also a Fee Free Day!
