Naturalization Ceremony
Springfield Armony National Historic Site will host a naturalization ceremony for new citizens, in partnership with US Customs and Immigration Services. This is part of the formal partnership between National Park Service and USCIS to hold naturalization ceremonies in national parks. During the event, approximately 30 people will take the oath of citizenship. September 17 is significant as it is the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. The park superintendent, Kelly Fellner, along with Springfield Technical Community College president, John Cook, and Springfield Mayor Dominic Sarno, will provide remarks. The event is open to the public.
