Description

Fort Pulaski National Monument is proud to present this exhibition of art entitled “Imperfect Isolation.” This art installation, completed in partnership with the International Fiber Collaborative (IFC), encouraged students throughout Georgia to create artwork highlighting the many challenges Fort Pulaski has faced during its vast history on Cockspur Island. Each piece represents the student’s unique perspectives regarding the theme. More than 600 student artists from 8 different Georgia schools created art for this exhibit. The following schools contributed to this exhibit:

Grovetown Elementary School, Grovetown High School, Harlem Middle School, Jefferson Middle School, Luella Middle School, Oglethorpe Charter School, Richmond Hill Middle School, Southwest Middle School

The IFC was formed to create deeper learning experiences through art, collaboration, and cross-curricular-themed programming for individuals and their communities. They develop and promote community programs that create collaborative opportunities in art and civic engagement that link learning and creativity in the arts to science, math, engineering, and the humanities. Public programming has been a catalyst for creativity in health care facilities, libraries, schools, museums, and other locations. For more information on the IFC please visit their website: https://ifcprojects.com.
