Description
The Old South Church in Windsor, Vermont was recently listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places at the National Level of Significance by the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Join the organization for an evening to celebrate the designation and the history of this important structure.
The church will host an open house starting at 6pm on Monday, June 17. At 7pm, architectural historian Lyssa Papazian and timber framer Jan Lewandoski will provide insights on the nomination process and the history of the Old South Church as designed and erected by Master Builder Asher Benjamin (1773-1845). Refreshments will follow.
Everyone is welcome. The first floor of the church is wheel-chair accessible, and the program will take place in the parish hall. The sanctuary is accessible via stairs and a stair glide.
This event is not organized by the National Park Service.
