Fee:

Regular Entrance Fees apply. Vehicle entrance $20.00, Individual entrance $10.00 (walking in or bicycle entrance), Motorocycle entrance $15.00, Wilson's Creek Annual Pass $35.00, Other America the Beautiful passes can be purchased or if you carry a pass already for the National Parks then show your pass inside the visitor center to obtain a token for the gate entry. As always, if you are unsure about entry then call the park to inquire information about the passes.

Tour Stop number 5 along the 5-mile driving tour road of the battlefield.

Living History

Various living history programs will be going on all day at scheduled times beginning each hour from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Ray House at Tour Stop number 2 and at Tour Stop number 5 along the 5 mile battlefield driving tour road.


Description

Living history programs at the Ray House on Saturday and Sunday. Civilians will portray the Ray Family.

Saturday:

  • 9:00 am- A civilian/military interaction (1st PersonTalk) of "The fight is coming". 
  • 10:00 am- 19th Century Cooking Demonstration {Not for public constumption}
  • 1:00 19th Century Baking Demonstration- fried pies and cobbler. {Not for public consumption}.
  • 3:00 pm- Civilian preparation evening meal demonstration. {Not for public consumption}.

Sunday:

  • 9:00 am-"Raising the Yellow Flag" Designating a field hospital program.
  • 10:00 am- "Tending to Wounded Soldiers" Program.
  • 11:30- "Demonstration of a typical lunch at the Ray House" {Not for public consumption}

 

Lyon's Professionals, The US Regulars at Wilson's Creek will do programs at (Tour Stop 5)

Saturday:

  • 10:00 am-Demonstration of Rations issue (1st Person Talk)
  • 11:00 am-Company Drill Demo with marching, firing, and bayonet drill. 
  • 1:00 pm-Company Drill Demo with marching, firing, and bayonet drill.
  • 2:00 pm-1st US Regulars Fife and Drum demonstration. 
  • 3:00 pm-1st US Regulars Battalion Drill demonstration.

Sunday- No programs at Stop 5. The only programs on Sunday are listed above for the Ray House.

Consistent with CDC guidance regarding areas of substantial or high transmission, visitors to Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask inside all park buildings (Including the Ray House) and in crowded outdoor spaces where you cannot socially distance at least 6 feet apart.
