Description
Manassas National Battlefield Park invites you to join us for the launch of our new B.A.R.K. Ranger program on October 24th. Between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., join park staff at a tent outside our Henry Hill Visitor Center to show off your preferred precious pooch and learn about the 4 principles of being a B.A.R.K. Ranger:
1. Bag your pet's waste.
2. Always leash your pet.
3. Respect wildlife.
4. Know where you can go.
2. Always leash your pet.

4. Know where you can go.
Beginning on October 24th, if you show park staff that your canine companion is leashed, you have a water bowl/water, and you are carrying waste bags; and either attend a tour or share a photo of your dog by an exhibit sign on the trails, your beloved best friend will receive a special B.A.R.K. Ranger tag!
On the 24th we will also offer two special family-friendly and dog-friendly programs (weather permitting) that focus on the roles that dogs, horses, pack animals, livestock and more payed in the Civil War. Both programs follow our 1.3 mile Henry Hill loop and meet at the Visitor Center. Plan on the program lasting an hour and make sure to wear appropriate footwear for the hike! Programs will run at 1 p.m. and again as a sunset hike at 5:30 p.m. Following the tours, there will be a ceremony to mark your pup as an official B.A.R.K. Ranger! All programs are free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
