Description
Join a park ranger in the wide-open, grassy field at the Steel Creek boat launch for an evening of stargazing during the peak of the Perseids Meteor Shower. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, and please consider using warm-colored lights (red, amber) to find your way to the program area in order to preserve participants' night vision.
Buffalo National River is an International Dark Sky Park dedicated to protecting naturally dark skies through responsible lighting practices, public education and programming.
