From pirates, to shipwrecks, to spirits, Fire Island’s history is ripe with legends of heroism and treachery. Hear some of Fire Island’s spookiest stories from a park ranger before venturing onto the beach for an evening saunter. Will you hear “The Bogey of the Beach”? For all ages.

This event is free to attend.
Location
Wilderness Visitor Center: Take William Floyd Parkway (Route 46) to Smith Point County Park for access to the Wilderness Visitor Center. Parking is available in the parking lot just east of the Wilderness Visitor Center, a small hexagonal building to your right as you are headed south.
