Description

Discover the once productive Lesh-Williams and Chilton farm complex at Owls Bend! Rangers will provide interpretive value along the trail, which passes houses, silos, cribs, and other structures. Interpretation topics include family history, local culture, subsistence living, and elk reintroduction.

This hike will be a short, 1-mile loop along historic, agricultural landscapes. The trail also meanders through old growth forest, which makes for a brilliant fall display.

Bring a snack (if desired) and water. Sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, hats, and hiking boots are always recommended.
