Description
Lewes Delaware was once a booming maritime center. The buildings that now serve as up-scale shops, restaurants, and vacation homes once housed a vast support network of maritime trades, necessary to support the seaborne industries of Lewes.
Join our partners at the Lewes Historical Society, and travel back to a bygone era learning about the nautical trades of our past. This 90-minute walking tour will explore the forgotten sites and stories of Shipwrights, Ship Chandlers, Taverns, Shipyards, and the former homes of seafarers.
