Glacier Point Star Party
During summer, amateur astronomy clubs host star parties at Glacier Point Amphitheater in cooperation with the National Park Service. This is an informal program—drop in anytime after 8:30 and stay however long you like!
Star parties will be canceled if the sky is overcast.
- July 3–4: Santa Cruz Astronomy Club
- July 10–11: San Jose Astronomical Association
- July 17–18: MIRA
- July 31–August 1: Peninsula Astronomical Society
- August 7–8: Mount Diablo Astronomical Society
- August 14–15: Tri-Valley Stargazers
Fees
This is a free program.
Location
Glacier Point is located about one hour from Yosemite Valley. From Wawona Rd (Hwy 41), turn onto Glacier Point Road. Drive to the end of the road and use Glacier Point Parking. The amphitheater is a few minutes' walk from the parking area.
