Description
The Friends of Hopewell Furnace cordially invite you to unwind the Mysteries of Duffy's Cut with archaeologist Gene Delaplane who will fascinate us with the tale of the strange death of 57 irish immigrant railroad workers in 1832. The railroad never made it to Hopewell Furnace. Some suggest that was the main reason why Hopewell Furnace went out of Blast in 1883.
The free program will begin on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Hopewell Furnace NHS theatre located inside the visitor center.
