Join park rangers and Northwest Fur Trade Historians for this free family-friendly event! This event will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm, at the Kettle Falls Historical Center, 1188 St Pauls Mission Rd, Kettle Falls, WA 99141.
 
Take a step back in time, into our living history encampment to learn about the Fur Trade and what life looked like in this area almost 200 years ago. Enjoy how traders lived, trapped, hunted, dressed, and communicated in the 1800s.
 
Historical fur trader demonstrations include:
  • Fort Colvile history
  • Women’s history
  • Sign talk and language
  • Animal trapping
  • Trading items
  • Reenactments
