Exploring the Sky has been CANCELLED due to the incoming inclement weather.

Exploring the Sky is a joint public observing program between the National Capital Astronomers and the National Park Service.

We supply the telescopes and you supply the eyes!

Meet in the field near Picnic Grove #13

This month we'll try to take a closer look at objects like:

• The Moon
• Vega- This star is one of three that make up the Summer Triangle (an asterism of three stars in three different constellations. Vega is a bright star in the constellation of Lyra, the harp!

This program will be cancelled in the event of cloud cover or inclement weather.
