The University of Wyoming Research Institute at AMK Ranch is a cooperative effort between the University of Wyoming and the National Park Service to promote research in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). The UW-NPS Research Institute is one of only eight field stations in US National Parks and is the oldest such partnership.

Location

To access the AMK Ranch, turn west from highway 89 onto the spur road towards Leeks Marina. In half a mile, turn right at the University of Wyoming sign and continue a mile up the road. Park in front of the Johnson Lodge and walk to the Berol Lodge.
